W. Leo Arndt (* November 6, 1857, in Eilenburg; † November 11, 1945, in Berlin) was a German illustrator and etcher.

Born in Eilenburg in the Province of Saxony, Arndt studied at the Leipzig Academy of Fine Arts and later at the art schools in Berlin and Karlsruhe. He worked as a freelance illustrator and etcher, with many of his engravings, drawings, and genre paintings exhibited in German museums.

Around 1900, Arndt spent time in Sarajevo, where he co-founded an artist’s club with painter Maximilian Liebenwein, artist Johanna Kobilca, and his brother, the painter Ewald Arndt.

Arndt was a member of various prominent art associations, including the Berlin Artists‘ Association, the Association of German Illustrators, the earlier Graphic Arts Union, and the Federation of Visual Artists.

His studio was located in Berlin-Halensee, at Johann-Georg-Straße 21/22. Since 1894, he had been married to his second wife, Anna Möhle.
